(But it's advisable for all on the Arty-P to read it. :P) Similarian wrote: > On the Bridge of the Dark Crystal Sapphire sat at the control board, > as the command crew filed in he savored the sweet taste of impending > victory and pressed the on button. > > "Well win this time." The Dark Prince took another sip of his favorite softdrink, Impending Victory, and grinned evilly. "We have visual." Esmerodian Warrior reported and put the image on the main view screen. "It looks like they really took a beating." The Artemis-P SpaceStation was a sight for sore eyes. Holes punctured the hull in various places and the entire moon-sized base seemed darker than normally did due to massive power failures. "That's nothing compared to what -we're- going to do." Dark Glen snickered as he polished the Demon Sword. "Scan the ship. Let's see what and who's there." Tapping in a few commands, EW piped the results of the scan to the screen. Other than the Arty-P's WG, the scan also revealed the names of most of those on the station. "That dog is there!" Dark Glen growled as he saw Kobanal's name pop up. "He's mine, I call it!" "The Janitor is also there, as I suspected." Prince Sapphire added, "This is going to be... fun." "That ass Frank isn't on board?" EW asked dejectedly, "Dammit, I still owe him some pay back." "Yadda yadda yadda... Bunch of no-namers as well." Sapphire muttered as the list continued on with a bunch of newbie type names. "Vessel decloaking off the port bow!" Seedling shouted. "Which one?" Sapphire barked. "It's the Minpirian StormLance!" the plant-based clone replied. "They're charging up their main weapon cannons!" "Engage the Ignorium Shields!" Sapphire ordered his henchmen. < On the StormLance > "They just disappeared..." Yvette blinked. "Disappeared? Who?" StarFlower, acting captain while Lina was in the powder room, asked. "... I... don't know. Whatever we were about to shoot I suppose." Yvette shrugged. "A cloaked vessel?" "... I'd think we'd remember if it was an enemy vessel..." "Better safe than sorry. Fire anyway." The cannons fired. *CRASH* "We hit something! It's... oh jeez, Darkmoonians." < Back on the Dark Crystal > "NEXT TIME MOVE US OUT OF THE WAY AS WELL!!" The Dark Prince screeched as he slammed Seedling's head into the console. "NOW OUR IGNORIUM SHIELDS ARE OFFLINE!!!" "Normal shields down to 85%." EW reported, "We can't afford a fair fight right now if we plan on getting to the Arty-P in good shape." "Bring us in closer." ChaosSapphire exclaimed, "And transport a brigade of Darkmoonian warriors over there to kick their asses." "Their shields would stop our transporters stupid!" EW spat at the Third In Command clone. "If you'll look at your sensors, you'll see that their shields are DOWN! Now do as I say!" Indeed, for some reason, the Stormlance wasn't functioning at full power. (See post #2165 -Ed)[1] "We're all going to be needed to take the station." Sapphire replied, "Who would command them?" "How about me?" a feminine voice cooed, startling everyone. At the door, was the black form of a long haired woman. "That's right... forgot about Pitch..." DG sweatdropped. "Fine! Take a bunch of the nameless and keep the Stormlance occupied!" Sapphire barked and hit a few buttons. Within seconds, Pitch disappeared. "Now set a course for the Arty-P and keep going until we reach it!" As the Dark Crystal flew past the StormLance, the Minpirian vessel began turning to give chase. "It's still following us." The ship shook as the StormLance opened fire again. "Shields at 71%." *BOOM* "48%" "Fire the Dog Biscuits!" Sapphire foamed, he would not be robbed of his victory again. "Dog Biscuits destroyed before impact." Seedling replied. *BOOM* "21%" *BOOM* "3% One more hit and our shields are gone." Everyone gasped as they looked up at the view screen, the imposing StormLance closing in on them. Silence, followed by a message popping up on Dark Glen's console. "Uh, we're being hailed." Sapphire raised an eyebrow. "On screen." A picture of Star Flower and Yvette lifted off the floor and entangled in a web of sticky black stuff behind Pitch greeted the Darkmoonians. "The StormLance is under control." "Excellent! Now help us attack the station!" "Can't do that." Pitch sighed, "Star Flower locked out the main computer before I could stop her. I'll just keep the minpirians on board busy while the real story takes place on the station. Pitch out." Prince Sapphire cackled evilly and sipped his favourite beverage once more as the Dark Crystal moved on to the Arty-P, unopposed. TBC -- Tuxedo Dionysus Footnotes: [1] Sorry, been reading old spiderman comics again where they keep telling you to see previous issues, that I don't have. :P To clarify, The StormLance had suffered major damage when it was used to reflect energy back at the Arty-P recently.
