The Artemis-P SpaceStation Minakochanian Space Station Writer's Guide Version 2.0 Commander: Tuxedo Dionysus === Origins ========================================================= A long time ago when the new Minpire was emerging, Tuxedo Dionysus' travels with the Minako&Reichanians took him to a Wal-Mart (now destroyed) where he found a 'defective' Luna-P Sphere in a discount bin. Its only defect was that it was white in color rather than black. The sphere willingly followed him around for several months after that until that fateful day when the OSDF under Nyagachillios' command fought with the Minpire after the wedding between Ryu and NeoAmi-chan. During the battle, Dionysus decided to test the limits of his shapeshifting sphere and ordered it to turn into a space station! It obeyed. === Recent Notes ==================================================== Recently, the Artemis-P SpaceStation was hit by a growth ray that caused massive restructuring of the infrastructure. This means new rooms were outright created while existing power reserves were magnified. Currently, the station is the size of a small moon much like the Makochanians' IO-Omega, and as such, -should- be damned hard for someone to get where they want to go. This is especially so due to the massive restructuring. It is also in a state of repair, due to the utter destruction caused by the Amichanians. === Appearance ====================================================== Basically a gigantic, white, Luna-P. The mouth opens into the spaceship docking bay. The hanger bay itself is large enough to fit the Io-A (not that it's likely to ever be in the hanger ^_^), the Serenity (Ditto ^_^) and the Outers Empire (Guess? ^_^) all at the same time right next to the ThunderWuv, StormLance, and the Dead Dog. Use this as a guide to how big it is. Yes, the Serenity and Outers Empire vessels are no longer in existance, but trust me, they were large. === Objectives ====================================================== To serve as the staging base of the New Minpirian Faction. To protect and service the Minakochanians and their ally factions. Makochanian ships can dock as well, assuming they haven't attacked the SpaceStation before. Other factions will only be allowed to dock under unusual circumstances. The Makochanian Friendly policy is due to the current Mako & Minpire Alliance sealed by Tuxedo Dionysus and Cape-Mike a long time ago. === Computer AI (AKA: Personality) ================================== The Artemis-P SpaceStation has a sophisticated AI system due to the fact that it was a sentient Arty-P Sphere long ago. It recognizes Minakochanians and will carry out their orders to the best of its ability, but is also highly loyal to both Tuxedo Dionysus and Skuld. Reprogramming it via a virus -should- be impossible unless it is written out-of-character or cleared with Mord (author) first. It would react to a virus in much the same way a human would react to a biologicial virus. === Known Locations ================================================= The following is a list of areas on the Arty-P that have been mensioned in previous threads, etc. The Bridge: The command center and brain of the station. The station can be controled from here or Central Core. The only special note here is that the consoles were coated with Omnipotent Proof Wax, making them utterly indestructible. (We had too many incidents of OSDFers trying to smash the consoles hoping to disable the station.) Central Core: The "Engineering" Section of the station. Skuld works on her special projects here, monitors the station's systems, and keeps them working at peek efficiency. The crew here is "named" Central Core, thus preventing them from being killed easily, and the main power generators are located here. Please note that a Self-Destruct system requires more than hacking into the system to initiate. :) OWF Stadium: For all your OWF special event needs, this stadium came into being after the Arty-P grew to it's current size. It has the standard Wrestling Ring and Fightin-Tron with seats for 250k. Harold's Music Studios: Used in the battle against the IO-Omega just before the Alliance was formed with the Makochanians, Harold is able to convert incoming energy into pure sound for his kareoke-ing purposes. The speaker system leads to the outside of the station, and the intensity can reach the point where the sound will defy all physics and travel in the vacuum of space! Fear him! The Brig: Only the Endymionsamaians have ever been imprisoned here, although due to their method of arrival, they may not be aware that they were actually held on the Arty-P. (This occurred when NC-Janitor took over the No-Faction Resort briefly.) Docking Bay 1: While there are most likely hundreds of Docking Bays now, TD still has his own special mecha stored in here. He also launched the Youma Missile at the IO-A from here long before the current M&M Alliance was formed. === Crew Complement ================================================= The following is a (non-exhaustive) list of 'minakochanians' an otaku can expect to run into while on the Arty-P. Their orders are to capture/convert any non-minpirian they encounter. =-= Nameless Minakochanians =-= While not always referred to as simply "NO" or Nameless Otaku, most NO encountered on the ship will be Minpirian Security Officers, Janitors, Repairmen, Warriors, etc. There is an abundance of 'Minakochanian Fodder' on the station. They tend to the everyday needs of the Named. =-= The Minpirian Junior Brigade =-= A special group of 'Named' otaku. These warriors have no real authors and are only a half-step above normal Nameless Otaku, sporting simple names such as Luke, Mary, Tom, Jerry, Tony, Bob, etc. You get the idea. These otaku are trying to prove to the named that they deserve their names, and are often sent on missions to prove their worth. Such missions are usually 'Omnipotent' in origin, ("Kill that damned Rockman X!") and sometimes start off on the right foot, but within a few posts... the Junior Brigader is sure to be defeated and or killed. They're usually killed if they're defeated anyway. (If you find yourself up against a Junior Brigader, please play along with it, give it a fighting chance as you can be -assured- that you will win if you don't give up.) =-= AP Guardian Drone =-= Basically white Luna-Ps. They float around bopping intruders on the head while being helpful to guests and the local Minakochanians. They have the ability to transform like the Luna-P into various materials and tools. Very common in the Repair Bays and are normally part of Construction/Engineering/Security teams. =-= Artemis Attack Cat =-= Robotic (metallic texture and color) cats about the size of a normal house cat with a crescent moon on its forehead. They basically chase after and bite intruders, are part of security teams, and are normally in hidden "lairs" until needed to repel intruders. =-= Artemis CLAW (Cat-Like Attack Weapon) =-= Larger versions of the Artemis Attack Cat, these are the size of a large lion and have room inside to seat one or two otaku warriors. It can run on its own AI, or be controlled by its passengers. The CLAWs can be equipped with a wide variety of weaponry, although they aren't usually armed with anything more than razor sharp 'teeth' and 'claws'. Known weapons are minor Ditz Cannons and Minature Rocket Launchers. =-= Holographic Nurse Minakos =-= As it says, these are holographic nurse minakos. Anyone who knows about Minako's bedside manners would understand why intruders would usually prefer death over being "helped" in Sickbay. Oddly enough, it tends to be a favorite gathering place for some Minakochanians. :) The Nurse Minakos are restricted to Holodecks and Sickbay. The ship isn't set up to project them anywhere else at the current time. If the power of the station is shut down, then there's a chance that the Nurse Minako Program will go offline unless special precautions are made. === Arsenal ========================================================= The following lists a bunch of vehicles commonly stored in hangers and secured locations. There are more that are unspecified because we haven't written them in yet. =-= Korb's HoverTank =-= Although there are plenty of HoverTanks in the Minpirian Military, Korb's special tank stands out among them, and has been able to withstand a lot more punishment, and survive many battles. Hanging off of the Tank, is a group of Scantily Clad Anime Babes that Korb picked up from the Women's Sauna one day when he drove through it. For some reason, the SCABs just haven't gotten off it since... =-= Minakochanian Guardians =-= Many Cargo Bays are full of the Disposable Minakochanian Guardian mechs. These three-form fighter jets have a wide variety of weapons and are often used for transportation to and from the station. They tend to lose dogfights and the like occationally. 85% expire before their warrantee. ;) === Weapon Systems ================================================== The following are the wide range of Ship-To-Ship artillery the Arty-P holds to ward off attacking starships. Strangely enough, almost all invading ships have found a way to bypass every single defensive system, even shuttlecraft. Please note that the Arty-P does -not- grant docking requests to any vehicle except 'recognized' Minpire and Makochanian vessels. =-= CrescentBeam Blasters =-= Long range energy weapons. Yellow beams. :) =-= Love&Beauty Shock Cannons =-= Medium range energy weapons, although they pack a bigger punch. Basically look like "bigger" CrescentBeam Blasters. =-= MeteorShower Photon System =-= Variable range photon firing system. Basically lots of yellow Photon torpedos (ala Star Trek ^_^) are shot out at a selected region. While it does the most damage close up, it does so only because there are a lot of torpedos. The further away the target, the less damage it's likely to do. =-= LoveMe Chain System =-= This "attack" is used to immobalize enemy starships as well as to guide docking ships safely into the hanger bay. Heathen Shuttlecraft are likely to be captured with this. =-= Arty-Rasp Smacker =-= (?_?) A Bad-Ass tongue shoots out from just below the Docking Bay 'Mouth' and proceeds to wag around menacingly. Ships hit are likely to be batted around or something. =-= Gemini Satelite System =-= "Orbiting" the Artemis-P SpaceStation are 2 small satelites which have the "V for Victory" sign painted all over them. These satelites can be docked with Artemis-P for repair and service but while orbiting the station they enhance the SpaceStation's sensors. (increase range and accuracy.) They also have Auto-Aiming CrescentBeam-Cannons, which are weaker versions of the Crescent Beam Blasters. NOTE: With the growth of the Arty-P, these are not necessary to allow normal operation of the station. =-= Ditz Cannon =-= Apparently, a main Ditz Cannon has formed with the restructuring of the Artemis-P SpaceStation. While it was originally swivelable so as to allow it to point itself at the station, while being repaired, its design and construction was modified to prevent ever such a thing from happening again. Rather silly to make your weapons capable of firing on yourself anyways. === Defense Systems ================================================= The following defenses serve as a last line of defense against enemy ships. Obviously they -should- prevent holes from being punched into the hull, and prevent people from being sucked out into space. 'Should' doesn't mean it's successfully done that on any occation to date. =-= Energy Absorption Hull =-= The hull itself can absorb energy blasts if Harold has his sound equipment set up in the studios. To get the best effect from the hull, the shields must be down (they prevent energy from getting to the hull itself.) =-= Venus Reflector Shields =-= This energy shield can withstand a lot of punishment although it only covers the Artemis-P SpaceStation. The Gemini Satelites (and nearby allied ships) aren't protected by it. =-= VenusStar Reflector Shields =-= The V-Satelites, when they're in orbit, can combine to create a more powerful version of the Venus Reflector Shields, basically, it's the same shielding type but it protects the Artemis-P, the Gemini Satelites, and everything between the satelites and the SpaceStation. Thus allied ships can be protected. Both of the satelites are needed to generate this shield.
